My paintings are motivated by the people and places that make up my life experience. My art is also an expression of my love for the materials and processes of painting and printmaking. It is often difficult to know when a painting or print is finished. I seek a sense of completeness and solidity from the image, and hope that it conveys to the viewer, something of my original excitement about the subject.
